Dinner is lovely. Dinner is also what you did last time, and the time before that. Here are a few dates that make the evening feel like it was made for one person.
The first-date Trail
Where you first met, where you had your first proper conversation, where you realised you liked them. Each place opens the next. The last stop is dinner. Fine. Dinner can stay.
The sunset one
Leave a voice note somewhere with a good view, set to open after 6pm. Get there at 5:50. Be very casual about it. Fail at being casual.
The treasure hunt
Clues across the city, each one only openable at the place before. The prize at the end should be small and specific: their favourite sweets, a ticket to something, a printed photo. Not a ring. Please. Not on a Tuesday.
The long-game one
Leave something today that opens on your anniversary, at the place you’ll go to celebrate. Future you gets to look incredibly thoughtful. Present you gets to forget about it.
